Here are some of many projects that I have worked on throughout my career as a graphic designer. I graduated from Champlain College with a BFA in Graphic Design & Digital Media. Less than a month later, I was hired as a freelance designer by one of Burlington’s leading advertising agencies. I shortly won them over as they decided to keep me around by offering me a full time position as a graphic designer.
During my time as a designer, I got my hands on many different aspects of graphic design — one of the many perks of working in a smaller advertising agency. I learned the ropes of digital ads, video editing, creating gifs, video production, going on press to view proofs, watching a brand come together from conception to final delivery. I also learned that is more to foosball than just moving the arms back and forth rapidly.
A couple years later, I was promoted to senior designer. I thrived watching my design ideas come to life, and seeing the metrics proving that they had been successful. I learned how to balance many clients and switch my creative ideas based on what branding tactics and elements we were employing at the time. Most importantly, my foosball skills had vastly improved, and I became unstoppable.*
I now currently work as part of an in-house marketing team. My role includes the creation of social media presence on Facebook, Instagram, & LinkedIn. I became the brand police to help ensure all teams to create templates from social media, powerpoint, ensuring brand consistency, while also creating graphics and printed materials for emails, events, and any white paper. My video editing skills also come in handy to help the communication team to create easy to digest graphics and videos to support messaging from executive leadership.
